Ginninderra at NSW State Age (13-18 years)-results

Congratulations to our awesome team of Ginninderra Swimmers who competed at the NSW State Age (13-18 years) Championships in Sydney. Many of our team qualified for State Age for the first time or swam for Ginninderra for the first time.

Our team consisted of Ally Ashley, Emily Clay, Ruben Collins, Bec Cross, Emily Dawe, Tizana Fiorese, Rachel Henderson, Elijah Gatica, Nic Lawlis, Jessica Price, Aylisha Sutton, Laura Sutton, Lukah Tuan, Anna Varela, Joshua Waugh, Bella White, Charlotte White and Grace Zhang. The team was expertly coached by Jim Fowlie.

Highlights

• Ginninderra finished 10th on the medal tally and 21st on the pointscore from 87 clubs. A fantastic effort!!
• Bec Cross had an outstanding meet winning 4 gold medals in the 100, 200 breastroke and the 200, 400 IM and 1 silver medal in the 200 butterfly.
• Anna Varela, swimming in her first State Age also swum superbly, earning a silver medal in the 800m freestyle and two 4th places.
• A number of swimmers qualified for the finals: Bec, Tizana, Elijah, Nicholas, Laura and Anna
• Nicholas Lawlis put in a terrific effort swimming 4 from 5 PB's.
• Ginninderra swimmer’s showed enormous spirit and pride competing in a number of relays across the week and cheering fiercely for all team members in their races.
